Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee
The Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee maintains the spirit of the Patients’ Bill of Rights, improves the quality of care for residents of adult care homes, monitors the care provided by the homes and resolves grievances of the residents and their families.

Animal Control Grievance Committee
The Animal Control Grievance Committee hears appeals from dog owners who have animals deemed to be dangerous according to G.S. 67-4.1.

Area Transportation System Advisory Board
The Iredell County Area Transportation System Advisory Board serves as the advisory body to Iredell County who serves as the lead agency in the operation of the Iredell County Area Transportation System (ICATS). Recommend policy and make recommendations to the Transportation Coordinator and the Iredell County Board of Commissioners on the transportation needs of Iredell County citizens, particularly with respect to a coordinated and cost-effective approach to the delivery of transportation services to area human service agencies and the general public.

Board of Equalization & Review
The Board of Equalization and Review is the first step in the formal appeals process. If a taxpayer is not satisfied with the results of the informal review by the County Assessor's Office, they may then file an appeal with the Board.

Board of Health
The Board of Health assists in the writing of policies and regulations regarding public health issues and serves as an adjudicatory body in accordance with G.S. 130A-35.

Centralina Aging Advisory Committee (Region F*)
The Centralina Aging Advisory Committee (Region F*) advises the Area Aging staff and the Council of Government’s board on the development and administration of the Region F Area Plan on Aging.

The Centralina Economic Development Commission builds collaborative partnerships to promote the growth of high technology industry clusters and to expand economic activity.

Centralina Workforce Development Board
The Centralina Workforce Development Board works with employers, job seekers, training providers, government agencies, educational institutions, and civic groups to enhance the quality of employment.

Farmland Preservation Advisory Board
The Farmland Preservation Advisory Board reviews and approves applications for qualified farmland and voluntary agricultural districts and make recommendations concerning the establishment and modification of agricultural districts, holds public hearings, and advises the Board of Commissioners on projects, programs, or issues affecting the agricultural economy.

Historical Properties Commission
The Historical Properties Commission assists in the conservation of historic properties and promotes the use and conservation of historic properties for the education, pleasure, and enrichment of the residents of Iredell County and the state as a whole.

Home & Community Care Block Grant Committee
The Home and Community Care Block Grant Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on the services/programs and funding needed for the county’s older population and creates long-range planning.

Ind Facilities & Pollution Control Financing Auth
The Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority (IRB) assists in the creation of jobs that will raise the average wage level in the community and reduce unemployment by assisting companies in obtaining industrial revenue bonds in accordance with G.S. 159C-4.

Jury Commission
The Jury Commission eliminates persons on the "raw jury list" who are known to be disqualified and unable to serve by grounds stated in the statutes (these grounds being non-citizenship, non-residence, juror has already served during the past 2 years, under 18 years of age, unable to speak or understand English, felons unless citizenship has been restored, physical/mental incompetence, or insanity) in accordance with G.S. 9-1.

Juvenile Crime Prevention Council
The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council reviews the needs of the juvenile population in the county who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent, ensures that appropriate intermediate dispositional options are available, and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on the level of state funding to be awarded to local delinquency prevention programs.

Lake Norman Marine Commission
The Lake Norman Marine Commission reviews variance requests and site plans, assists in the maintenance of lighted and unlighted navigational aids, and assists in providing water safety programs.

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Local Emergency Planning Committee's duties and activities are those set forth by the Iredell County Board of Commissioners, not limited to, but in accordance with Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA).

Mitchell College Board of Trustees
The Mitchell College Board of Trustees assists in the development and operations of the community college in accordance with the provisions of the law and the standards of the State Board of Community Colleges with statutory authority under G.S. 115D-12,13.

The Mooresville Planning Board aids in determining objectives to be sought in the development of Mooresville, prepares and adopts methods for achieving these objectives, and develops and recommends policies and ordinances.

The Nursing Home Advisory Committee maintains the spirit of the Nursing Home Patients’ Bill of Rights, improves the quality of care for residents of nursing homes and monitors nursing home care and resolves grievances of the residents and their families.

Partners Behavioral Health Management Board
The Partners Behavioral Health Management Board develops, manages, and coordinates mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services through collaborative efforts with consumers, providers, and the community.

Personnel Advisory Committee
The Personnel Advisory Committee hears county employee grievances and provides advice on personnel matters as requested by the County Manager or personnel officer.

Planning Board
The Planning Board aids in determining objectives to be sought in the development of the county, prepares and adopts methods for achieving these objectives, and develops and recommends policies and ordinances in accordance with G.S. 153A-321.

Public Facilities Corporation
The Public Facilities Corporation promotes the general welfare of the county’s citizens by assisting in the acquisition, construction and operation, sale or lease of real estate and improvements, facilities and equipment for the use and benefit of the general public.

Recreation Advisory Board
The Recreation Advisory Board serves as an advisory body for the Department of Recreation and the county; serves as a liaison between the department, the manager, the Board of Commissioners and the citizens of the county; and serves as an advisory body in matters affecting policies, programs, personnel, finances, and the acquisition and disposal of lands and properties related to the total community recreation program in accordance to G.S. 8-26, 27.

Social Services Board
The Social Services Board oversees the general functions of all social services programs, approves the agency’s budget, reviews and approves new personnel requests, and hires the director.

Statesville Airport Authority
The Statesville Airport Authority aids in the administration and enforcement of the regulations set forth in the Statesville Code and makes further rules and regulations for safe and proper operation of the airport.

The Statesville Board of Adjustment hears zoning appeals, reviews special use permits, and grants variances to the zoning ordinance.

Troutman Planning Board (ETJ)
The Troutman Planning Board aids in determining objectives to be sought in the development of Troutman, prepares and adopts methods for achieving these objectives, and develops and recommends policies and ordinances.

Troutman Board of Adjustment (ETJ)
The Troutman Board of Adjustment (ETJ) is responsible for appeals, variances, Special Use permits, and ordinance interpretation.

Zoning Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment hears zoning appeals, reviews special use permits, and grants variances to the zoning ordinance. Appointments are made in accordance with G.S. 153A-345.
